Lauren Turner

Lauren Turner

Managing Partner

After over a decade of building her career in the corporate housing and furniture rental sectors, Lauren realized a missing link between corporate housing providers and those looking for customized long-term furnished apartments. With this in mind, she founded the company Sojurn in 2017. In 2023, after ample success building a client base and 5-star furnished housing service and product, Sojurn was Merged with TurnKey Housing. Lauren continues to oversee the sales and customer service teams and is driven by a passion for providing clients with the most exceptional service in the industry. Lauren is an active member of numerous organizations, including Greater Washington Employee Relocation Council (GWERC) where she serves on the Board, as well as the Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) where she holds her Corporate Housing Professional Certification. 

Michele Dann

JJ Hershey

Managing Partner

JJ Hershey leads TurnKey’s operations and customer service, ensuring our clients have the best possible stay while in the Washington DC area. He brings over 12 years of finance and operations background to TurnKey Housing Solutions. JJ began his career as an investment banking analyst for Arthur Andersen, consulting with companies in the healthcare industry and assisting them in preparing for possible mergers and acquisitions. He then spent the next 8 years working for General Electric/SABIC as a finance analyst and manager. While at General Electric/SABIC, JJ worked in many capacities including preparing and analyzing operating budgets for profit and loss centers with revenues in excess of $2 billion as well as leading the global business reporting team.

Eric Hershey

Managing Partner

Eric Hershey leads TurnKey’s sales efforts and helps our clients determine what housing solution best fits their needs. His extensive background in the property management and corporate housing industries enables him to accommodate even the toughest requirements.

Eric began his career with Windsor Communities as a marketing manager focusing on attracting potential renters throughout the DC area through various advertising and marketing strategies. Eric then joined Equity Residential, the largest apartment owner and manager in the United States, as a marketing project manager. While at Equity Residential, Eric implemented affinity programs and managed Equity’s Traveling Nurse, Preferred Employer, and Corporate Outreach programs. Eric then moved on to work for Madison Hospitality as their Director of Sales, helping build their corporate housing business in the Washington DC area.

Matt Scholnick

Vice President of Operations

Matt Scholnick heads up our day-to-day operations including managing the Operations team to ensure that our clients move into a perfect furnished home. Matt has been with TurnKey for over 10 years and is an imperative part of ensuring that all aspects of our client move ins, move outs, and customer service inquiries are handled seamlessly. He is a graduate from Dowling College School of Business and has a background in interior design. His attention to detail and love for the hospitality industry allows TurnKey to deliver an excellent experience for all customers.

Director, Business Development

Michele has been in the corporate housing industry since 2002 and started with TurnKeyin 2021 as the Director of National Business Development. Michele thrives on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction while playing an imperative role in company growth. Alongside loving what she does for work, she also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends doing anything and everything! The Galapagos has been one of her absolute favorite places to travel thus far and highly recommend visiting if the opportunity arises.
Angela Stanford

Angela Stanford

Customer Experience Manager

Angela Stanford is the Customer Experience Manager for TurnKey. She grew up in Northern Virginia and has been in the furniture rental business for 20+ years and joined the TurnKey team in 2021. She has always enjoyed working with customers and takes a lot of pride in her empathy, communication skills and patience with customers.  In addition to providing each guest with excellent customer service and resolutions to any and all inquiries, Angela is TurnKey’s property management and vendor coordinator, ensuring proper scheduling and effective communication with all of our vendors and community partners.

In her personal time, she and her husband are big West Virginia Football Fans (Let’s Go Mountaineers!) and are season ticket holders. In the warmer months, they spend their time in OBX and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Martha Kangume

Director of Customer Experience

Martha is the glue to TurnKey’s Guest Service team; delivering excellent customer service and communication, while coordinating with other departments to resolve inquires. Martha’s consistent efforts day in and day out ensure each and every one of our guests and clients have 5-star service from the day they move in, until the day they depart. In addition to leading the customer service team, Martha is responsible for maintaining our community relationships by coordinating and executing new leases, providing timely notices to vacate and ensuring all required services are set up for each of our apartments.

Angela Stanford

Lisa Penna

Customer Experience Director

Lisa has been in the Corporate Housing industry for over 15 years and joined TurnKey in 2023. Lisa works closely with our sales team on their lease agreements, and is a critical part of our pre arrival process. Lisa has a strong attention to detail and is dedicated to each client from the moment they sign their rental agreement, until they move into their Turnkey apartment. Born and raised in NJ, Lisa is a graduate of Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business and earned her MBA in 2012. Lisa enjoys summers at the Jersey shore with her family, and is an active volunteer in many local community activities.

Connor Holm

Connor Holm

Director of Field Operations

Connor has been with TurnKey since 2019 and was promoted to Quality Assurance Manager in 2021, then on to Director of Operations in 2023. Connor handles all things Field Operations to ensure that our clients move into their perfect furnished home, and are provided with exceptional customer service for the duration of their stay. Connor graduated from Shippensburg University prior to working for TurnKey and when he’s not working, Connor is in Rock Creek Park or enjoying the great food DC has to offer. He also would never tell you himself, but he is an all-star long distance runner (he ran a 4:17 mile while competing in College!)

Brian Makell

Field Associate

Brian (BJ) joined the team in 2019 after many years in the Corporate Housing Business, and is an integral part of the day to day operations behind TurnKey Housing. BJ assists with all aspects of Quality Assurance, Setups and Pickups, while also executing on detailed inspection reporting for each of our furnished apartments. In addition, BJ helps with the organization of our warehouse as well as the prompt resolution of any guest service issues.
